On Day 3, we had our family friends, the Ikedahs, take us around all the touristy places in Seattle that weren’t walking distance. But before we started our tour, we had to try Moore Coffee. It was a little silly that it took us the third day to try them since it’s part of our hotel! They served the best coffee in Seattle, in my opinion, and I loved their decor:
While we waited for the Ikedahs to arrive, we did some stupid things as sisters do… Like lay on the grass, soaking up the sun:
Juuust kidding! It was just a green installation in the hotel:
We took other silly photos but I’ll spare you the boredom. 😉
Our first stop on our tour was Belle Epicurean:
Their chocolate croissant was delicious!
We checked out the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. Although they said that there’s a lot more salmon trying to swim up the current during the season, we were amazed at the number and size of some of the fish!
Then we stopped by Boehm’s Candy. How cute is their shop?! They have a factory right behind the storefront and we were able to peek into the windows to see some of their intricate chocolate creations. They have tours which sounds like it’s worth checking out.
My favorite place we visited in Seattle was Snoqualmie Falls:
It was gorgeous. The air so fresh and the trees changing color for winter. Gorgeous.
The sun setting made it even more magical.
This is Ceylla in the middle. 🙂 We’ve known her since birth and now she’s grown into this intelligent, beautiful young lady. Oh, how time flies.
After taking in all the beauty of the waterfall and its surroundings, we had a buffet linner (late lunch, early dinner) at Snoqualmie Casino. Stuffed ourselves, of course. Then headed to the one place I definitely wanted to see, the Fremont Troll:
He’s huge, a little scary driving up to him, and a little sad that his right finger is falling apart. I tried picking his nose but no boogers. 😉
We headed to Kerry Park and got to checkout the best view of the Seattle skyline.
The sun was setting so we watched as the city slowly lit up.
We then walked around the waterfront and said our goodbyes to the Ikedah family. Thank you so much for taking us around!! ❤
When we got home, we did get a late night snack at Serious Pie. Pizzas and beer before bed. Only on vacation. 😉
Lots of Smiles,
Akiyo
